The Department of Kinesiology at Kansas State University invites applications for an Assistant Associate Professor tenure track position in the area of physical activity and public health. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate Kinesiology program and to the new master's program in public health. Candidates are required to have a) a completed PhD or equivalent (e.g. DPH) in any of the pscyhological, health promotion, socio-cultural, or epidemiology areas, b) a focused line of research with potential for extramural funding, c) research or educational background in exercise and physical activity, and d) a strong quantitative background. Candidates should also demonstrate effective teaching and a willingness to work with a diverse student population. The screening of applicants will begin January 16, 2006 and continue until the position is filled. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Start date August 2006.
