JOB: Professorship in Sport Studies, Ulster

The University of Ulster aims to be the leading university on the island of Ireland for Sport. As part of its strategy to deliver this vision it now wishes to appoint a Professorship in the School of Sport Studies.

The University has a long history of education and research in Sport and Exercise. To further contribute to its development, a new School of Sport Studies is being established. This position therefore provides an exciting opportunity to work with the Dean and Head of School in directing the development of the new School.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the research profile of the school, provide strategic leadership in the area of Sport Studies and assist in the delivery of modules in his/her area of expertise.

Applicants must have significant research and Higher Education teaching experience in Sport or Sports related areas and demonstrate evidence of significant academic leadership ability. They must also have an excellent peer-reviewed publication record commensurate with inclusion in the next RAE.
