Lander University, a public state supported institution in South Carolina, seeks to fill the following two nine month positions, which will begin August, 2006

The College of Education is seeking applicants for the following tenure track CHAIR: Department of Physical Education and Exercise Studies

Rank: Associate Professor.

The department offers the Bachelor of Science in Physical Education K-12, Exercise Science, and Athletic Training.

Primary responsibilities: Departmental leadership, teaching, scholarship, advising, scheduling, and program development.

Required qualifications: Earned doctorate in an area related to the programs offered in the department with preference given to candidates with expertise in exercise science, experience to justify appointment at the rank of Associate Professor; evidence of successful administrative experience; and effective communication and interpersonal skills.


This position requires a strong record of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service; and ability to use computer technology to support teaching and administrative work

Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
