The University has embarked upon a renewed commitment to the development of sport with an expansion in opportunities to study sport and the development of an £11m state-of-the-art Performance Centre. As part of this commitment we wish to make the following academic appointment:
Associate Lecturer in Sports Management (0.5 fte 50% of full-time) Ref: C04/833/W
To teach and assess modules in professional studies, resource management and strategic management in sport and leisure.
Applicants must hold a first or second class honours degree or higher degree, or equivalent in sports management, sports studies, sports development, business studies, management or administration. Experience either in sports management in a professional context or experience of teaching, assessing and supporting students at further education or higher education level is also essential.
Appointment to the post is effective from 1 September 2005. The post is based at the Jordanstown campus.
Salary: £23,643 - £35,883 pro-rata
