JOB: Sport Media/Sport Admin -- Ithaca College

Ithaca College is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-eligible
position beginning August 16, 2008, to teach in two or more of the
following areas: Sport Media Relations, Sport Publications, Evolution of
Sport Media, Financial Aspects of Sport, Labor Relations in Sport,
International Sport Administration, and Sport Marketing. In addition,
candidates must demonstrate a commitment to student advising that goes
beyond course selection and includes strategic career planning and
placement and supervision of internships. Substantial involvement in
scholarly activities and service activities is also expected.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in communications, sport management, or
related field (Ph.D., Ed.D., J.D. preferred or comparable degree or
appropriate terminal degree based on expertise, such as an M.F.A. in
communications; ABD considered). Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the
collegiate level; scholarly accomplishment or potential; and professional
service record or potential are essential (this may include previous
experience working in the sport industry).
