The Department of Health and Kinesiology and Sam Houston State University has two tenure-track positions available for fall, 2006. The following is a description of responsibilities, qualifications, and application procedures.
Kinesiology Generalist - # 4230
The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Kinesiology will provide leadership to the kinesiology program by conducting research and teaching courses within his or her area of interest, as well as providing service at the departmental, college, university and community levels. Applicants will be expected to teach course work within the teacher certification and/or non-certification degree option. Interested applicants must have experience or the skills necessary to teach some of the following courses: Adaptive Physical Education, Sociology of Sport, Psychology of Sport, and Motor Learning.
Qualifications for the position include a doctorate or a terminal degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education and the ability to achieve graduate faculty status.
