The fellowship is aimed at developing recent college graduates'
professional skills such as leadership and organizational efficiency,
educating them in the role of foundations and the not-for-profit
sector, and offering them experience in the golf world, specifically,
with the governing body of golf. The core work experience of a Fellow
is as a Programs Associate in the USGA Foundation. Each incoming
Fellow will be assigned to work with second and third-year Fellows to
facilitate grant making throughout the nation. As first-year Fellows
gain experience, they are assigned increasing levels of responsibility
throughout the grant process, as well as within various development
and outreach programs. Second-year Fellows take leadership roles with
grant work and other projects, while serving as mentors to incoming
Fellows. Also during the second year, Fellows have the opportunity to
develop and propose a “special project” to be implemented during their
third year. These projects are aimed at furthering the development of
the individual Fellow and the mission of the Grants Program.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicants are recent college graduates of four-year
colleges or universities who are eligible to work in the United
States.
