JOB: Mississippi State University

Sport Administration Program: Mississippi State University, College of Education, Department of Kinesiology. Assistant Professor of Sport Administration (Nine month, Tenure Track).

Instructor applications may also be considered. Doctorate in Sport Administration/ Management required. ABD’s considered at instructor level. Candidate will contribute service, teaching, and an active research agenda to the university, College of Education and provided instruction in the Sport Administration Graduate Program, Sport Communication Undergraduate Program, along with future curriculum modifications in these areas. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in at least two of the following areas: Sport Marketing/Promotion, Sport Law, Sport Finance, Facility and Event Management, Sport Ethics, Sport Governance, Foundations of Sport Administration, Current Issues in Sport Administration, Organizational Theory/Behavior, Sport Industry/Media Relations, and Sport History. Desired: Practical work experience in the sport industry. History of or strong potential for grantsmanship and securing external funding. Evidence of and/or potential for publication in peer reviewed journals. Potential for additional summer term salary augmentation.
