CONFERENCE: XIth CESH-Congress (European Committee for Sport History)

Dear colleague,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the XIth CESH-Congress (European Committee for Sport History) to be held in Vienna, Austria (September 17th-20th, 2006). In collaboration with CESH the Institute of Classical Archaeology, University of Vienna, and the Centre for Sport Sciences and University Sport, University of Vienna, will organize the Congress.

This year topic will be SPORT AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF IDENTITIES. Special panels will deal with subjects like popular culture, socialisation, corporeality, gender, ethnic self-definition, religion, nationality and theory.
Find a register form, an abstract form, the second call for papers, and a poster attached to this email.

Please submit your abstract (maximum 200 words) according to the guidelines of CESH till April 14th, 2006: cesh@univie.ac.at
