Position:
The College of Health Professions invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer
position in the Department of Kinesiology beginning August, 2016.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physical Cultural Studies, Sociocultural Kinesiology, Sociology of Sport or
related fields. Ability to teach and research in an institution of higher education in the related
areas of physical cultural studies and sport management. Willingness to engage in service
learning projects and community partnerships as part of research and teaching agenda. An
established record of excellent teaching in higher education.
Responsibilities:
Teach four 3 credit courses per semester. Teach courses primarily at the undergraduate level.
Teach core classes within Sport Management/Physical Cultural Studies. Advise undergraduate
students in the department. Contribute to the service missions of the department, college and
university. Contribute to professional activities in the discipline.
