Invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Sport Management

Posting #FA1306E, Sport Management, tenure-track Assistant Professor

Candidates should have the following required qualifications:

§  Terminal degree in Sport Management
§  A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence at undergrad/grad levels
§  Demonstrated expertise in the field of sport management
§  Record of conducting research and publication in peer-reviewed journals
§  Ability to integrate technology as well as practical application into the pedagogy

Responsibilities of Faculty Appointees:

§  Teach graduate-level and undergraduate-level courses for students pursuing careers in sport management in two or more of the following areas: compliance, sport governance, sport law, international sport, and sport finance/economics
§  Advise undergraduate and graduate students
§  Oversee field-based research projects as well as chair and serve on graduate project and thesis committees
§  Serve on academic and professional committees
§  Actively participate in professional community service
§  Seek external grants

A competitive salary will be based on qualifications and prior experience. Starting date should be no later than August 28, 2013.
