Sports Administration: Assistant Professor/Sport Administration. School of Physical Education, Sport, and Exercise Science. Ball State University. Tenure-track position available August 18, 2006, in sport administration. Responsibilities: teaching courses in sport administration, such as sport law, sport ethics, athletic governance, sport finance, management issues in sport, sport marketing, and facility and event management; academic advising for undergraduate and graduate students in sport administration/management; advising graduate student research projects; coordinating student internship experiences in cooperation with agencies, businesses, and professional sport organizations. Minimum qualifications: earned doctorate degree or law degree by August 14, 2006; evidence of teaching experience in higher education. Candidates with law degrees must have expertise in sport administration/management. Preferred qualifications: earned doctorate in sport administration/management and/or related area; evidence of successful teaching in sport administration in higher education; work experience in the sport industry; evidence of scholarly productivity through writing, presentations, research activity, including grant funding from external sources; advising experience in higher education.
