JOBS: University of Bath

The Department of Education at the University of Bath has opportunities
available for two enthusiastic individuals, who wish to bring together their
commitment to sport studies/education/coaching with a desire to engage in
research. Applicants should have a background in EITHER Sport Sociology OR Sport
Development/Management with a research profile in one or more of the following
areas: sport policy, social inclusion in sport or sport management. Applicants
should have a critical understanding of the structure of sport within the United
Kingdom and the various debates concerning the provision of sport at all levels.

The Department has excellent external assessments for both research and teaching
(RAE Grade 5; QAA 23/24). Applicants should be capable of contributing strongly
to future RAE submissions, of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
and of making successful bids to educational and sporting bodies to fund

Salary in the range: Senior Lecturer (£38,685-£43,850) or Lecturer B (£28,829 to
£36,959) dependant upon qualifications and experience.
